Why Recognition Matters: The Launch of The Impact Award
I’ve always believed that recognition is one of the most powerful things we can give someone. It’s more than just a pat on the back, it’s validation. It’s a reminder that someone’s hard work, kindness, or dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. And in a world where so many people do incredible things without ever expecting a thank-you, I want to change that.
That’s why, as I launch Perry Design Awards, I’m introducing something I’m incredibly excited about: The Impact Award.
More Than a Trophy Company
Perry Design is all about awards, custom gifts, and recognition pieces, but to me, it’s more than just a business. I don’t want to be another company selling trophies that collect dust, I want to be part of something that truly makes people feel seen.
Over the years, I’ve met so many amazing people who go above and beyond for others without expecting anything in return. Teachers who invest in their students long after the bell rings. Volunteers who give their time to causes they believe in. Parents who work tirelessly to provide for their families. Co-workers who lift up their teams in ways that don’t always get noticed.
These people deserve to be celebrated, and The Impact Award is my way of doing that.
How The Impact Award Works
It’s simple: anyone can nominate someone who has made a difference. No qualifications, no strict criteria, just a genuine impact on another person’s life.
The recipient will be chosen once a month through a random draw, ensuring that every nominee has a fair chance. The chosen individual will receive a surprise visit from the Perry Design team along with a personalized Perry Design Impact Trophy.
Why This Matters
For me, this isn’t just about handing out awards. It’s about bridging the gap in our community, bringing attention to the unsung heroes who might otherwise go unnoticed. I want Perry Design to be a happy place, a business that fosters positivity, connection, and appreciation.
This is just the beginning. As we grow, I hope to expand The Impact Award, get more people involved, and create a culture where recognition becomes a normal part of life.
